There are times when a married couple may feel the desire to renew and reaffirm
their commitment to love and honour each other as husband and wife.

A Renewal of Vows ceremony not only provides the married couple
with an opportunity to reaffirm their love and commitment, but
it also provides their families with a wonderful opportunity to
become involved and to express their appreciation of their parents
and grandparents. It’s an excellent occasion for the expression
of love and joy, and family unity and strength.
By participating in a Renewal of Vows ceremony family relationships
are often bonded more deeply, as they come to a more insightful
understanding of the precious relationship that is being celebrated.
Reaffirmation gives the couple not only the opportunity to renew
their commitment to each other but also to involve their children
and grandchildren in the ceremony. You may also like to include
family or friends in your ceremony or children from a previous
relationship.
A Time for Renewal
Renewal of Vows ceremonies take place for many and varied reasons,
but most often one of the following:
• To celebrate a significant wedding anniversary, be it 5 years
or 65 years.
• To share a celebration
of marriage with guests who were not at the original ceremony.
If a couple was
married
interstate or
overseas it’s a wonderful opportunity to share
another ceremony with friends and family back home.
• Renewal of Vows ceremonies are also suitable
for married couples who may have separated, but now desire to reunite.
• Some couple also feel the need for such
a ceremony when their original wedding ceremony, for one reason
or another,
was not
meaningful to them.
A Ceremony as Personal as You Are
Tom offers a variety of meaningful ceremonies, poems
and verses for you to choose from. You may also choose your own
words, poems,
or vows to make your ceremony a very special and
memorable occasion.
Our Fee
Our standard fee for a Renewal of Vows ceremony is $330.00, including
a $100.00 deposit. This fee includes an initial visit and consultation,
use of our state-of-the-art public address system if required,
and a complete printed copy of the ceremony.
Travel to venues further than 25 kilometres from the Hobart G.P.O.
will attract a surcharge of 60¢ per kilometre. When the location
of the venue necessitates overnight accommodation for the celebrant
special package-prices apply, which are available on request.
There are no legal requirements for a Renewal of Vows, so no birth
or marriage certificates are required.

To Declare Your Love
Love Commitment ceremonies are appropriate for couples
who wish to publicly declare their love and commitment
before family and friends without taking the step of
legal marriage. |
Commitment ceremonies are suitable for couples to celebrate their
partnership and publicly declare their promises to each other.
The ceremony may include readings, a statement of commitment,
the exchanging of rings, and music. It can take place in a garden,
a home, or any venue that is special to the couple.
Commitment Ceremonies offer a less formal approach to the celebration
of a partnership by providing a unique and special opportunity
to celebrate the union of two persons. Tom will design a special
ceremony to honour the couple’s commitment to each other
which suits their individual requirements, beliefs and lifestyle.
The couple has the flexibility to ensure the day is special to
them and captures the spirit of the occasion.
